Philippe LACOSTE currently works as Assistant to the Director General at the Confederation of International Contractors' Associations (CICA).
In the framework of his policy management activities at CICA, he liaises extensively with governments and international organizations, such as the World Bank and other Multilateral Development Banks, the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), etc.
He also interacts closely with industry & professional associations, specialized institutions and Non Governmental Organizations.
Philippe LACOSTE participates in various meetings and in the drafting of position papers for the attention of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and other international organizations, on policy issues such as Best Practices, Procurement, Public-Private Partnerships, Quality, Qualification, Anticorruption and Integrity, Sustainable Development and Green Business.
He also provides secretariat and conference management activities by organizing CICA Board and Council Meetings, Working Groups and Conferences (e.g., CICA-IFI Conference, organized annually with Multilateral Development Banks, International Organizations, NGOs and the private sector).
Prior to joining CICA, he served at the Arbitration Chamber of Paris as Deputy Secretary General (in charge of International Affairs) and previously at the United Nations Office at Vienna as Associate Expert (Legal and Political Affairs).
His practical experience in international affairs has benefited from a varied academic background. He holds an MBA from the City University of New York and a Postgraduate Degree in International Law from the University of Paris.
