Welcome to our web site.
We are contractors interested in international exchanges of experiences and motivated to improve the image of our business at worlds’ level in front of public opinion and international organizations.
We are lobbying to develop fairness and ethics among relations between contractors, engineers and employers.
We are also trying to set a vision we may share in common for the future of our business in relation with sustainable development and increasing gap between available public funds and growing needs of populations for education, health and improved standards of living.
Regarding energy needs, we think we can be “the solution industry” through our capacity to drastically reduce the consumption of buildings without taking any risk on the economy based on exchanges and mobility of people and goods.
Founded in 1974, the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations has the

ambition to speak in name of the Construction Industry employing worldwide 110 millions workers with a global turnover of 4.8 trillion USD.
The Board of Directors and the Council of CICA whose Members are contractors coming from various continents define the actions to be implemented by the permanent team headed by Jacques BENATAR and based in Paris (France).
The team assumes the coordination of specialized working groups on matters of concern to contractors in their international environment. It participates regularly in meetings with international institutions and organize with international financing entities a yearly meeting focused on main concerns of the Construction Industry.
The financing of CICA is covered by annual subscriptions from continental international federations and from “Friends of CICA”. The Friends are individuals, companies and/or associations interested by the work performed together.
I hope our website’s information will be interesting for you and contribute to enlarge our group of friends whose members will be invited to our meetings in Paris and abroad.
