SEFI (The French International Contractors) has 12 members: contractors in the construction and infrastructure sector, companies specializing in the supply of facilities and turnkey contracts, service concessionaries, etc. All these companies offer a wide range of activities from engineering to services, including construction/rehabilitation, financial and legal packaging, etc. The companies include: BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION, COLAS, EIFFAGE, EUROVIA, RAZEL, SADE, SOLETANCHE-FREYSSINET, SPIE, SPIE BATIGNOLLES, VEOLIA WATER SOLUTIONS & TECHNOLOGIES, VINCI CONCESSIONS, VINCI CONSTRUCTION.
The companies of SEFI are ranked N°1 of the largest companies of the OECD member countries. They are constantly present in over 90 countries and their international turnover represents a substantial percentage of their overall revenue (36.3% in 2009), i.e. 26.7 billion Euros. This figure constitutes practically the entire international turnover of the sector.
The permanent effort in Innovation and R&D of the French International Contractors, which has always been among their priority development strategies, is implemented in many and varied fields: technical and technological innovation and research into the use of materials, the main objective being to improve quality and efficiency, to meet cost and lead time constraints and, finally, to protect the environment.
The volume of business of the French International Contractors, which has been achieved thanks to the multidisciplinary competence of its companies and their long-standing experience in foreign markets, gives SEFI a representative quality that enables it to speak on behalf of the entire profession in the international arena.

The Construction Confederation was founded in 1946 as an umbrella organization for all Belgium. It brings together nearly 15,000 companies active in all areas of the construction sector: independents, SMEs and large companies.
The Construction Confederation defends contractors’ interests in dealing with public authorities, policy makers and economic actors of construction at local, regional, national and European levels. It represents the construction industry in many organizations and bodies, such as the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB), joint sectoral committees (workers and employees), paraprofessional associations and other industry-related federations. It is also present in many forums for consultation and advice that directly or indirectly affect contractors’ interests.
The Construction Confederation provides its members with a variety of services, such as personalized advice and assistance in administrative formalities.
