The Construction Confederation was founded in 1946 as an umbrella organization for all Belgium. It brings together nearly 15,000 companies active in all areas of the construction sector: independents, SMEs and large companies. The Construction Confederation defends contractors’ interests in dealing with public authorities, policy makers and economic actors of construction at local, regional, national and European levels. It represents the construction industry in many organizations and bodies, such as the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB), joint sectoral committees (workers and employees), paraprofessional associations and other industry-related federations. It is also present in many forums for consultation and advice that directly or indirectly affect contractors’ interests. The Construction Confederation provides its members with a variety of services, such as personalized advice and assistance in administrative formalities. It also provides regular and relevant information, offers training adapted to construction companies, gratuitously promotes its members and holds regular meetings with other construction professionals.
